Angela Yap Siew Peng, Director
A multi-award-winning entrepreneur, she is a prolific writer, editor and researcher. She was a former corporate banker and strategist with a Big Four firm. Her repertoire includes the United Nations Development Programme and former elected Governor to the Board of Amnesty International Malaysia.
Angela leads Akasaa’s Publishing and Education practice.
Dheeya Rizmie, Associate
Based in London, Dheeya’s expertise is in data analysis and statistical modelling in public health. She formed part of Imperial College London’s team of 11 researchers in several publications. She is Founder of Warwick Chapter of Women for Women International, fundraising over £7300 in its commencing year to sponsor 25 women in year-long educational programmes. Dheeya also served as Deputy Head of Hospitality at the Warwick International Development Summit, and Operations Team Member for TEDxWarwick. Her internships include the World Health Organisation, Geneva; The Carbon Trust, UK; The Millennium Project.
She holds a Masters in Public Health (Global Health), Imperial College London; BSc. (Hons) Biomedical Sciences, University of Warwick.
Julia Chong, Junior Writer / Assistant Researcher
She holds a BSc. Economics and covers financial issues in Asia. Based in Singapore, she also conducts archival research for Akasaa's publications and commissions.
